Everything seemed to be going wrong for Ole Christian Veiby at Höljes. After suffering a puncture in the opening qualifying heat, the Norwegian was left down in 15th place in the intermediate standings at the end of Saturday. Just 24 hours later, however, the Kristoffersson Motorsport driver came away from his home event with a second-place finish in the final, reducing the gap to Andreas Bakkerud to just one point in the FIA Euro RX1 Championship standings.
