Already with a large lead after his fifth place at Dreux in October in the French Rallycross Championship, Patrick O'Donovan took the British Supercar National title on Saturday at Lydden Hill in the first of two races of the weekend.

Winner of the two qualifying heats, the 18 year old driver did not flinch during the final stages by securing his pole position for the last Top 8 of the race at the end of the semi-finals before winning the final ahead of Julian Godfrey and Derek Tohill.

This was his seventh win of the 2022. Enough to allow the FIA RX2e driver to succeed Derek Tohill in the British championship.
